Where should I Park?
Parking is available on the corner of Strand St and King Cross. The rate is $1/hr or $5/day on weekdays, FREE on weekends. If you don’t plan to return prior to 6:00 pm paying in advance is always appreciated.
How long does it take to get to Buck Island?
It depends on which trip you reserve. Smooth Recovery Private Charters aboard our 32ft Boston Whaler takes about 15 minutes, on our larger power boats it takes about 30 minutes, and with our sailboats it takes about 1- 1.5 hours depending on the wind.
What do we do and what do you provide on the half day trip?
We offer ½ day trips each day, departing at 9:30am and returning at 1pm, or departing at 1:30pm and returning at 5pm.
We provide water, Cruzan Rum punch, snorkeling gear, lessons, guided tour of the underwater trail and a relaxing hour at Turtle Beach.
What do we do what what do you provide on the full day trip?
We depart at 10am and return at 4pm.
We depart the Christiansted boardwalk and head straight to the underwater trail at Buck Island for an hour plus of snorkeling. After snorkeling we head to Turtle Beach for another 2 plus hours before heading back to St. Croix.
We provide water, Cruzan Rum punch, snorkeling gear, lessons, guided tour of the underwater trail and a relaxing couple of hours at Turtle Beach.
There is a short hiking to the observation deck that is truly beautiful, on a clear day you can see from Puerto Rico to Virgin Gorda. Looking down into the barrier reef it is common to see turtles and is great for bird watching. Sneakers and a recyclable water bottle are recommended.
What are my options if I’m visiting St. Croix on a cruise ship?
We’ve got a deal for you! We offer a modified full day trip for the price of our ½ day trip. Our cruise ship special departs the Christiansted boardwalk at 10am and returns at 3pm, just in time for some shopping in Christiansted before returning to the ship.
Private charters are are always a great option and we are happy to adjust the departure and return time to your liking.

What if I have never snorkelled before?
No worries! We enjoy taking the time to teach you the proper way to snorkel and to help you feel comfortable with your snorkeling experience. A guide will be in the water with you to ensure you are safe and having fun. We are happy to assist those with physical limitations to the best of our ability.
What do I need to bring on my trip?
We are headed to an uninhabited island, there is no one there trying to sell you shade for $10 hr or a cliche in a glass. We have all the necessities covered, but we recommend you bring snacks/lunch, adult beverages for after snorkeling,reef safe sunscreen sunscreen, hat, beach towel, and bathing suit.
*Most sunscreen is harmful to our reefs. We encourage you to purchase reef safe sunscreen to use while in the Virgin Islands.
Do you provide snorkel gear?
Yes, but you are always welcome to bring your own.
Do you provide children’s life jackets?
Yes, all vessels are equipped according to US Coast Guard regulations. We have a limited selection of life vests for children under 80 lbs. If you are concerned or plan to visit for a large number of tiny humans, advanced notice is greatly appreciated.
Caribbean Sea Adventures has the best crew, they are hard working, pleasant, and eager to please. If you have a request or need anything, just ask. At the end the day if you think they have done a great job they always appreciate a little extra. 15-20% is common but in no way expected.
We always want to take you at your reserved time. Weather doesn’t always allow it. If we cancel due to weather we will do everything we can to reschedule at a time that works for you. If not you will receive a full refund.
Cancel 48 hours or more prior to your reservation to receive 100% refund. Cancellations with in 48 hours will receive a 50% refund
No shows will be billed the full value of the reserved tour.
